Thank you to parents, students and staff who donated to the Tet Boxes. It was a huge success! We were able to raise 15 million VND and gathered enough items to fill a small truck. Our partner in this fundraiser, Humanitarian Services for Children of Vietnam (HSCV) arranged to transport the donations to Hào Lý commune, one of the poorest areas of Da Bac district, Hoa Binh Province. Hào Lý is an isolated farming commune with 1890 people.
HSCV staff, with the assistance of staff members from the commune Cultural House, organised the donations into small packages that were then distributed to 30 of the most needy families in the community. The money that we raised was used to pay for the transport of the donated items to Hào Lý, purchase extra items and provide a small amount of lucky money for each family.
